AEENE awardsOn Wednesday May 6, president and director of engineering Joe D’Ambrosio, Sr. and team accepted the award for Innovative Energy Project of the Year from the Association of Energy Engineers of New England at the Annual New England Energy Awards at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Waltham. D’Ambrosio also made a presentation about the challenges, solutions, and energy efficiency features of the winning heat recovery project for Cains Foods.

The award presenters at the ceremony emphasized that the Innovative Energy Project of the Year category was highly competitive and that IMEC’s winning design was honored because it simultaneously solved a myriad of energy efficiency challenges with one solution.

“It was a great experience to collaborate again with Rich Guerriero of Cains Foods on the project, and very gratifying to win another award from the Association of Energy Engineers.” said Joe D’Ambrosio, Sr. of IMEC. “45% of this award was based on Creativity, which is an ideal criteria for our style of work focused on singular energy-efficient designs which also solve other manufacturing challenges.”

This is the second time IMEC has been honored by the Association of Energy Engineers of New England. Previously, the company won the Compressed Air Energy-Efficiency Award in 2011.
